Interested in learning how to use the new Kettlebell's at the gym? Check out this great instructional video by Kettlebell expert, Steve Cotter. Kettlebell's were developed in Russia in the 1700's and have been used ever since to build strength and endurance, particularly in the lower back, legs, and shoulders, and increase grip strength. Unlike traditional dumbells, the Kettlebell's center of mass is extended beyond the hand and facilitates a swinging motion. The basic Kettlebell movements, such as the swing, snatch, and the clean and jerk, engage the entire body at once, and in a way that mimics functional activities.
